Allan's half century

Yesterday was Allan's 50th birthday. Some might say "would have
been", but I don't necessarily look at it like that because to me Allan
is and always will be alive for as long as people love and treasure his
life and the influence he had on them.
I was down to the cemetery, and when I arrived I noticed something on
the plinth - a small boulder holding on what appeared to be
photographs. On closer inspection, i was able to see that there were 2
small photos, presumably of two of Allan's nieces and nephews. I believe
there was a wee plant pot thing supposed to be there, but it was
overturned and blew over, so I fixed that, washed and polished the
headstone and replaced the photos. I'd like to think they were for
Allan, probably intended for Jean (Allan's mum), but nevertheless it was
welcome as the only thing I ever see from others is the Christmas
wreath, so thank you for remembering Allan (even if it wasn't directly
intended for him).
