I came back from the supermarket yesterday and noticed the first of the leaves have already fallen around the door. Of all the seasons, I suppose I prefer Autumn, because the range of colours and the beginning of the change in the trees is just so beautiful. Being a "glass half empty" guy, it suits me just fine, but knowing that it's all just a stasis and will be back in the Spring helps me prepare for the dark nights and the Winter. Allan was my Spring, his arrival in my life was the start of the warming of my heart and the lighting of my world. Since he's been gone, I've lived sometimes it feels in a world of perpetual twilight, neither sunny nor dark. He has saved me several times in the time that's passed and sometimes I wish he hadn't. What more suffering do I have to endure? Who knows, but Allan I really am placing my future in your hands. If I can't expect you to be there at the end of this life my time left will be nothing.
