Cemetery visit

Was at the cemetery today. Bit dodgy weather going down, then burst through into some sunshine, but once more the clouds were dark grey over Barrhill. It seems that no one's been down with flowers since the last time I was there, which although it doesn't surprise me, does make me feel sad because Allan cared about people and in their usual way, they ignore him, even in death. I washed, dried and polished the headstone as usual and tidied up. I sat on the one bench they have there and listened to the roar of the thunder... I thought I'd run by Allan's old house and talk to his last neighbours. Finally got to speak to Sally, not only a neighbour but a workmate of Allan's too. She told me she'd been in the cemetrey the other week and had stopped at Allan's grave and had said a wee prayer for him. I'm not religious, but I thought this was a lovely touch as SOMEONE CARED ENOUGH to remember Allan with affection. Thank you Sally! I did hear some really good news though; they made almost all the workforce at Allan's old place redundant. Unfortunately there will be a few okay people among that number, but Allan's tormentors have finally lost their jobs. Awwwww!
