I've been reading the old emails that Allan and I sent each other, particularly in the early part of our relationship. I wrote him that I couldn't believe just how lucky I was to have someone so special, someone I could cuddle up with on the settee or brave really awful weather to walk down to the pub and have a beer with. I told Allan I loved him the day after our first date. I wanted to look after him, to cherish and nurture the beautiful person he was, to try and make up for past disappointments and to never let him go. I've been smiling about them because, well the messages had such pride and hope and... LOVE in them, I just recalled how much Allan impressed me so quickly.
